Ride With Confidence. We've Got You Covered.
Ferla Family Bikes ("Ferla," "we," "our," or "us") proudly stands behind the quality and craftsmanship of every bicycle we manufacture. This Limited Manufacturer's Warranty ("Limited Warranty") applies only to the original retail purchaser of a new Ferla Family Bike purchased directly from Ferla Family Bikes or an authorized dealer. This Limited Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to products used under normal personal riding conditions and maintained in accordance with Ferla's Owner's Manual. This Limited Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship existing at the time the Product leaves our facility. It does not serve as insurance against accidents, misuse, neglect, abuse, commercial use, improper assembly, unauthorized modifications, environmental damage, or normal wear and tear. Nothing in this Limited Warranty limits any rights that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.
Warranty Period
Ferla warrants the structural frame manufactured by Ferla and the original electrical system supplied with the bicycle to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the original retail purchase date. Proof of purchase is required for every warranty claim. Coverage begins on the date the Product is delivered or picked up by the original purchaser.
Handcrafted Products
Ferla products incorporate significant hand craftsmanship. Minor cosmetic variations, including paint texture, bamboo grain, weld appearance, finish variations, alignment tolerances, color differences, and similar aesthetic characteristics are inherent in the manufacturing process and are not manufacturing defects. Such variations do not affect safety or intended functionality and are not eligible for repair, replacement, refund, or warranty coverage.
What This Warranty Covers
If Ferla determines, in its sole and reasonable discretion, that a Product contains a covered manufacturing defect, Ferla may repair the defective component, replace it with a new or refurbished component of equal or greater functionality, replace the Product with the same or a comparable model, or provide another remedy permitted by applicable law. The remedy selected by Ferla shall constitute complete satisfaction of the warranty obligation.
Warranty Exclusions
This Limited Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear; batteries, tires, tubes, brake pads, chains, cassettes, bearings, grips, pedals, spokes, cables, batteries experiencing normal capacity loss, cosmetic scratches, chipped paint, fading, corrosion, rust from environmental exposure, accidental damage, collisions, theft, vandalism, fire, flooding, saltwater exposure, improper storage, neglect, abuse, exceeding published weight limits, commercial rental or fleet use, ride-sharing, food delivery or courier services, tours, rentals,, stunt riding, racing, unauthorized modifications, unauthorized repairs, improper assembly, installation of incompatible parts or accessories, or damage occurring during transportation after delivery by Ferla's carrier.
Lithium Batteries
The lithium-ion battery supplied with your Ferla Family Bike is a consumable component whose capacity and riding range will naturally decrease over time due to age, charge cycles, usage, and environmental conditions. Normal battery degradation is expected and is not considered a manufacturing defect or covered under this Limited Warranty. To maintain warranty coverage, the battery must only be charged using the original Ferla charger or a charger expressly approved by Ferla Family Bikes. The use of aftermarket chargers, unauthorized batteries, electrical modifications, or alterations to the Battery Management System (BMS) immediately voids warranty coverage. The battery must not be opened, disassembled, modified, punctured, pressure washed, submerged in water, exposed to excessive moisture, charged while frozen, stored in extreme temperatures, or left charging unattended for extended periods. For long-term storage, keep the battery in a clean, dry location at approximately 40–60% charge and periodically recharge it to prevent excessive discharge. Damage resulting from improper charging, water intrusion, freezing, overheating, neglect, accidental damage, unauthorized repairs, improper storage, or misuse is not covered under this Limited Warranty. If the battery shows signs of swelling, overheating, leakage, smoke, unusual odor, or physical damage, discontinue use immediately and contact Ferla Family Bikes. Ferla reserves the sole right to inspect any battery submitted for warranty evaluation and determine whether the condition is the result of a manufacturing defect or a non-warrantable cause.
Customer Responsibilities
The owner is responsible for routine inspection, maintenance, adjustments, tire pressure, brake service, firmware updates where applicable, and operation in accordance with the Owner's Manual. Continued operation of a Product believed to be unsafe or defective may result in additional damage not covered by this Limited Warranty.
Third-Party Components
Components manufactured by third parties may be covered solely by their respective manufacturers' warranties. Ferla will reasonably assist customers in identifying applicable warranty procedures but is not responsible for administering warranties issued by third-party manufacturers unless otherwise required by law.
Warranty Claims
To initiate a warranty claim, promptly contact info@ferlafamilybikes.com with proof of purchase, the bicycle serial number, photographs or videos of the claimed defect, and a detailed description of the issue. Ferla may require additional documentation or inspection before determining warranty eligibility. Products must not be returned without prior written authorization. Unauthorized returns may be refused.
Limitations
This Limited Warranty becomes void if the Product has been modified without authorization, improperly assembled, repaired by unauthorized persons in a manner contributing to the claimed defect, used outside its intended purpose, or operated contrary to Ferla's instructions. No employee, dealer, reseller, or representative may modify this Limited Warranty except through a written agreement signed by an authorized officer of Ferla. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ferla's total cumulative liability shall not exceed the purchase price actually paid for the Product.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, this Limited Warranty is the exclusive warranty provided by Ferla. Ferla disclaims all other express or implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, except where such disclaimers are prohibited by law. Ferla shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of use, loss of business, or personal inconvenience arising from ownership or use of the Product. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so portions of this section may not apply.
Governing Law
This Limited Warranty shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. If any provision is determined unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or any Product shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA). The Customer waives any right to a jury trial or to participate in any class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding.
